I like the list. My only gripe is that Daron Aronofsky isn't on it!

Good luck with your writing. You'll get back into it. I've got a bad case of "the block"right now and can sympathize. (I'm an academic who's tried his hand at fiction, journalism, blogging, and everything else under the sun. I've convinced myself that every kind of writing is hard, but that's what makes it so damn gratifying.)

Aronofsky? Sure, he's up there, especially after Black Swan. It would be interesting to see what he will do with something like Wolverine or the Robocop revamp.

Writing is difficult, but something one never leaves behind - it's a curse.
