It Shouldn't Have Been This Close

Congratulations to Alaska for not re-electing the first convicted felon to the U.S. Senate. That's one less political embarrassment for the state.

And without Stevens getting back to the Senate only for his colleagues to kick him out, poor Sarah won't have the chance to replace him as Senator.

And they also need to get rid of Don Young, I mean how many federal corruption investigations do you need under your belt before the people of Alaska fail to re-elect you back into the House of Representatives? Maybe they're waiting for a conviction.

Oh, Marion Barry. Probably my favorite crack addicted politician. He was only runner-up until Strom Thurman died.
